Dubai/ Sunday August 17, 2014: The AFC has assigned UAE referee Mohammed Abdullah Hassan and his assistants Mohammed Ahmed and Hussain Al Muhairi for the AFC Champions League clash featuring Western Sydney Wanderers against Guangzhou Evergrande to be held in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the competition.
Dubai/ Friday August 8, 2014: The training course of the training schools referees was launched at the UAEFA premises here on Friday with 42 referees including new candidates. The training session was attended by Ali Hamad, acting general manager of the UAEFA and deputy chairman of there ferees committee and Khalid Al Dokhi, director of the referees department.
The referees department has completed the preparation of the CDs which contain the most recent educational instruments and 2500 cases for study and analysis. This included cases from last season. The department selected some cases for presentation and study explanation during the external training camp. It worth mentioning that, the referees department used to pay heavily for the educational instruments from abroad, but this year, a number of technical experts, technologists and analysts have been attracted and the work team has got the job done and the CDs are expected to be distributed to the referees to make use of them. Elsewhere, the referees department has completed the translation and printing the football law for the 2014/ 2015 new season. This is the recent edition which will be distributed to the referees, technicians, lecturers and assessors in both English and Arabic languages in the same booklet to promote the learning of English language within the referees particularly as regards the aspects related to the law of the game.
The referees committee of the UAEFA has shortlisted 70 referees and assistant referees to start the external training camp in the German city of Nirenberg ahead of the new season. Meanwhile, all arrangements have been completed including the international experts who have been invited to address the audience in collaboration with the English and Spanish associations as well as the AFC and the UEFA. The purpose of the arrangement is to explain and clarify the most important issues and concepts related to the law of the game and the conveyance of expertise. The fitness tests will be carried out by the end of the external training camp. According to Khalid Al Dokhi, an internal three-day training camp at the association’s offices will be held for the referees who didn’t join the external training camp. The referees will attend morning and evening sessions besides theoretical and practical training courses. Arabian Gulf Clubs workshop The referees committee decided to host a special workshop for the Arabian Gulf Clubs in collaboration with the Pro-League Committee to explain the concepts of the law of the game and should be attended by the officials, coaches and players.

Dubai / monday 25 may 2014 : the tournament preparation course lecturers 's referees was launched today morning ( Monday ) with the cooperation of FA , which will last till next Thursday , Iyan Blansher will be the lecturer of it.
The training course of the new referees was concluded on Thursday at Al Ain Sports Club. The event was held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council from May 19 to 22 with 35 candidates taking part in the training course and received theoretical and practical studies and ended with a written test.
